It's here friends, the holiday season has officially arrived! And, we're here to help you find the best holiday events in the area for you & your family to enjoy.
Sunset Beach Waterfront Holiday Market
This year's holiday market will include local artisans who can offer up the perfect holiday gift for your loved ones. Shoppers can stroll through the market while enjoying hot chocolate and other festive treats. And, to top it all off, Santa will even be making an appearance! The market will be located in the Sunset Beach Town Park on Saturday, December 1st from 10 am - 3 pm.
Shallotte Christmas Parade
The annual Shallotte Christmas Parade will also be held on Saturday, December 1st. The parade will begin at 10 am at the intersection of Main St. and Whiteville Rd. and roads will be closed at 8 am to begin preparations for the parade.
Christmas Train Show
The Grissettown Longwood Fire & Rescue will be hosting the 13th Annual Christmas Train Show on Saturday, December 1st & Sunday, December 2nd from 10 am - 4 pm. The train show is a fun and enjoyable event for train enthusiasts and kids of all ages. There will also be baked goods, a train raffle, and Santa Claus! Admission is free but donations are welcome to benefit the fire department.
Sea Notes Coral Society: Here We Come a'Caroling
The Sea Notes Coral Society will be putting on a free concert at the Odell Williamson Auditorium on Sunday, December 2nd and Monday, December 3rd at 3 pm. There will be two showings of beautiful music sung by a group of 100+ volunteer music lovers that hope to spread some holiday cheer. Admission is free and concert passes may be picked up at various locations.
Christmas at the Old Bridge
This year's annual Christmas at the Old Bridge will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 5 pm. The evening will include a tree lighting, performance by the West Brunswick Chorus, a community sing-a-long and holiday themed refreshments! The event will take place at the Old Swing Bridge in Sunset Beach so, bring your beach chair and enjoy a peaceful evening to celebrate the holiday season.
Calabash Christmas Tree Lighting & Parade
Stop by and help the town decorate the tree, visit with Santa, and enjoy all sorts of holiday treats as you watch the Christmas tree light up! This will take place in Downtown Calabash on Friday, December 7th beginning at 6 pm. There will also be a parade and concert held that evening to add to the fun!
Sandy Paws Parade
This one's for our furry friends this holiday season! Bring your dog to stroll along in the doggie parade and then have their photo made with Santa. The parade will begin at the Holden Beach Town Hall on Friday, December 7th at 10:30 am and pictures will be taken at the Holden Beach Pavilion after the parade.
Shallotte Christmas Village
The Christmas Village will be held on Saturday, December 15th at the Mulberry Park in Shallotte from 11 am - 3 pm. The market will feature farmers selling their winter vegetables, artisans, jewelers & crafts. There will also be child-friendly amusements such as crafts, hay rides, hot cider and of course, Santa!
