Surf Shack

We had a great two weeks at Surf Shack. It was very well equipped to meet all our needs. It is a close walk to the beach. It was a perfect house for our family and dogs.

The design of this house was a little different than the other houses we have stayed in before, but we still enjoyed it. Especially the big living area with the big couch. It was especially dog friendly. Our first trip to the beach with our dog but he loved it. Loved the little fenced in area for him to roam around in without his leash. Also loved that there was a dog kennel already in the house. The big open kitchen area with the dining table was also a plus. We would definitely stay here again.

House was well maintained. Beds very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and beach access was right across the street. The only negative was that the toilets were very low but we would definitely recommend this house to anyone.

We love Sunset Beach and will be returning again next year. We have stayed in the Surf Shack 5-10 times. Lost count. We will be moving to a different house next year as our family is growing. It is a very nice house and we love that there is no carpeting. However, all of the frying pans had scratch/cut marks in them (maintenance brought new ones), the denim sofa in the bonus room is showing a lot of wear and has some stains, and there were no empty cabinets to put your food in. Great for dogs though as there is a fenced area.

Great place! Was perfect for us and our dog! The house was clean and well maintained, the kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies, dishes, and glassware. Has a nice little charcoal grill outside that we made good use out of. Loved all the porches (our dog especially loved lounging on them) and especially loved the screened in porch downstairs. The fenced in dog run was very convenient, they also have a fairly large dog kennel in the house. I love how much the owners clearly love dogs! Very cute place, close walk to the beach. They also have a large screen Smart TV in the sunroom which was perfect for unwinding in the evening and the one day we had where it stormed all day. We would definitely rent here again!

The house is well suited for dogs with the tile floors. It was very well equipped with kitchen supplies, games and books! Having two living spaces is a plus as well. Overall Surf Shack is a nice house.

We had a wonderful time at the Surf Shack. We stayed there 4 years ago, and it looked as there were furniture additions, which were very nice looking and comfortable. Having a TV in every room was great since we are basketball fans, and there were several games played during our stay.We travel with our dogs and the option to have a pet friendly house near the beach was wonderful. The fenced in yard and the hose for wash downs after the beach walks kept the sand to a minimum in the house.It was a very easy walk to the beach with beach access. That is a plus in vacationing at the beach.Thank you and please thank the owners for us.
