Summerset

Very nice house has everything we need on vacation. Usually out fishing it's nice I can catch fresh shrimp and blue crab off the dock. Stayed here the past 3 years love the house

Third year at this house comfortable for my wife and I as we do a lot of fishing while here. Needs to work on drainage under house holds water if a heavy rain comes. We will be back again.

Upon arrival, there is an adjustment period. A matter of hours later... I am home!Loved it!

Great house had everything we needed we actually packed too much. Very comfortable and spacious. It is beautiful house we will be back next year.

House was clean and everything was in working order. Lots of extra amenities under the house.

Kitchen is small but usable. Furnature is dated, but still confortable. Hammock was great.

Great place. So cute. Great amenities and supplies. Nothing else I would want except the porch is not rainproof which is a bummer to be stuck inside on the rainy days. Great value and excellent condition and all the rest is wonderful.

Have always stayed oceanfront; this canal home was surprisingly lovely. Spaces just right. Dock access wonderful, although the dock might have sustained some damage recently; it was listing to one side and would dip below the water when we stood on that side. Nice that kayaks were available though we brought our own. Loved to be able to catch some blue crab! Kitchen adequate although not as well equipped as some. A crab steamer would have helped immensely! Actually met someone at Lowe's who lived near by and loaned us his! Could use some regrading of driveway. A downpour left several inches of standing water in the section where we parked. It receded but was inconvenient while present. Overall very happy. Suggested improvements would make it even better.

Great value and location.

We really enjoyed our stay and were so happy to see that the property had been updated from the photos we originally saw on the site. The house was clean and comfortable. Great location and had more amenities than we expected. Perfect for our needs.The only drawbacks were the air conditioning vents were too high in the ceiling to adjust and it got very cold when the air was blowing and if we turned the temperature up it got very warm. Also there were 5 or 6 remotes for the tv in the main room and no directions. It took 3 people and quite a bit of time to figure it out. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others. Sunset Properties personnel were great to deal with too!

Summerset is a nice home. We have stayed at Sunset many of times with family and friends but this was the first with just us and our children. We chose Summerset because it wasn't too big but also not a far walk to the beach. It was our first time for a canal home which the kids enjoyed walking down to the dock. The house is overall in good condition but parts could use some updating to make it a bit more modern. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied for the most part. Laundry is down by the carport which took a little while to figure out, but always happy to have laundry! Supplying guests with a laundry basket would be a plus as carrying it up and down in our suitcases was a bit of an annoyance. But overall, a great house and we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place ,we had such a great time only one default but kinda minor I had left my grandson electronic rocker on back porch and a storm came in didn't realize the porch isn't properly sealed so rain comes in everywhere from roof not the screen but other than that we will be back

We have stayed at sunset beach for about 14 years now. Our first stay we rented the house summerset and fell in love! It was cozy, clean, affordable, and accommodating to our family. We do try to get this house every stay but sometimes with our dates it don't work out. The house will always be special to us because this is where I also had my wedding reception in 12 years ago and it was really nice this year showing my 6 year old daughter where her mom and dad got married!! We do think it needs a little updating now because it has been the same for years now and we seen where a few things needed fixing this year because we didn't get to stay there last time so I do hope the owners will read this and take into consideration. Again, we enjoy sunset and this home and will be bringing my family here from now own!! Thank you for taking such good care of my family all these years!!

We love staying at The Summersett, it has everything we need to have a relaxing vacation. A week is not long enough!!

This was a fantastic vacation at Sunset. The house was comfortable and had everything that we really needed. I would highly recommend a clothes line (with pins) in the area under the house for drying beach towels and bathing suits. Other than that I can think of nothing. The screened porch on the canal was really great as was the upstairs deck for watching stars and meteor showers. Go and enjoy Sunset Beach. Hugh & Nell McDonald
