Summer Shack

Love the space and the decor is beachy, bright and cheery. Bedrooms are spacious and well decorated.

This was our second stay in Summer Shack. We enjoy the spaciousness and cleanliness. The location is great as we meet our extended family on the beach off the 40th St boardwalk every day. The house is well-equipped (except no salt & pepper in the kitchen). The new upholstery and rugs are a plus. We love the light streaming through the big windows and the cheerful atmosphere. Our vacation for July 2024 is already planned - same time, same place!

Summer Shack is a fantastic vacation home. The house is very spacious and the owners take great care in keeping it in great condition.

A great beach house--located near Main Street it is an easy walk to the 40th Street access which has a long boardwalk to the beach. The house has all the amenities it needs and sitting on the porch drinking coffee in the morning is a highlight of our stay. Sunset Properties always makes you feel very welcome and is ready to answer any question. We love that the house is a premium house so the linens are included which is great. We have stayed on this property for several years and it works great for our family!

Summer Shack has some wonderful features and also has some areas that could stand upgrading. The location is fantastic - can't beat 38th street, 4th row. Sleeps 13 with 5 bathrooms is outstanding, however lack of half bath on the main level means the two bathrooms serving the two main level bedrooms become "community bathrooms" during the day. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, silverware and utensils. Stand alone ice maker was great, but overall, appliances were dated - refrigerator was small for 13 people, dishwasher had note taped to it that stated "normal cycle does not work, all others do". Main porch and 2nd level porch were wonderful - very spacious and equipped with a generous number of comfortable and sturdy rocking chairs. Dining room table was large with plenty of chairs and barstools. Living room had extremely uncomfortable sofas and chair. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives and we enjoyed our stay at Summer Shack.

It was a lovely, warm, friendly place to gather with our family. Quiet street, close to beach accesses. Comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms.

Great family home with lots of space and amenities. Our family enjoyed staying at Summer Shack which was very close to the beach access. The house was well equipped with plenty of dishes for preparing meals. The rocking chair front porch was a favorite spot for the crew. Having 5 bathrooms was a big plus for our crowd. Great outdoor shower for cleaning up after a trip to the beach.

The property is better than the pictures show! A lovely home with a great location and plenty of space.

The house is great. Love the location. Had an issue with the A/C on Tuesday and it was promptly addressed and corrected. Love that it is a premium property. The house is well stocked it almost has too much in the kitchen b/c there isn't a lot of storage space.

Summer Shack is a large, beautiful home located on the west end of the island. It has a wonderful large deck that fits the whole family and is tastefully decorated. Linens are included which makes packing for our 2 week vacation much easier. This was our 15th year at Sunset Beach and our second year staying in this home. Would highly recommend Summer Shack! We have booked it again for next summer.

Summer Shack has become our first choice when booking our family vacation. Always clean and well appointed. The location allows us to enjoy a cool morning on the front screened in porch and is only a short walk across the street to the beach access. Bathrooms are located within each bedroom for added convenience! We have so much room to enjoy in the downstairs living room. The Wi Fi access is speedy. Summer Shack is a beautiful home that will make your stay at Sunset Beach one to remember!

Summer Shack was the perfect house for our family. The inside truly made you feel like you were at the beach with all of its decor. It was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely stay at this house again!

This was our fourth year to stay in Summer Shack and we have always had a pleasant experience. The house has been well maintained, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. It's size allowed the three generations of our family great accommodations.
