Rainbow Landing

GREAT EXPERIENCES! OWNER HAS BEEN DELIGHTFUL IN PROVIDING THIS LOVELY BEACH HOUSE ON THE BAY.WE HAVE JUST FINISHED OUR 50TH CONSECTUIVE YEAT AT SUNSET BEACH. MANY YEARS AT RAINBOW LANDING.SOME YEARS AT THANKSGIVING TOO.IT ALL BEGAN IN 1974 WITH OUR 3 SMALL CHILDREN. NOW WE HAVE AN EXTENDED FAMILY OF 22 PEOPLE AND RENTING A 2ND BEACH HOUSE ON THE BAY ALSO TO ACCOMODATE OUR EXPANDED FAMILY. BETSY SMITH OUR DAUGHTER HAS RENTED THE 2ND HOUSE FOR US FROM SUNSET PROPERTIES.THANKS TOO THE SUNSET PROPERTIES GROUP ESPECIALLY LIZ WHO IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ACCOMODATING PERSON.BUD WATSON FROM NORTH CAROLINA

The property met our needs perfectly.

We all very much enjoyed our stay in Sunset Beach and at Rainbow Landing! The home is spacious and well equipped. A lovely location too! We look forward to returning!

This is our 2nd year staying here. The size of the house and 6 bathrooms accommodate our 3 generation family well! Love the bay views and access is beach is so close.would have been nice to have the large picnic on the porch downstairs on the bottom patio or put another picnic table there. Also an electric can opener would be nice. Kiddos had trouble using old fashion twist one. We have been coming to Sunset Beach since 1976 and this is our favorite! Have already reserved for next year! This was another fun year!

GREAT PROPERTY FOR THE WEEK'S STAY. PERFECT LOCATION ON THE BAY BETWEEN OCEAN ISLE AND SUNSET BEACH. OWNERS HAVE DONE A GREAT DEAL OF MAINTENCE AND REPAIR EFFORT IN THE LAST FEW YEARS. WE HAVE STAYED AT RAINBOW LANDING FOR 5 CONSECUTIVE YEARS.VERY COMFORTABLE AND WITH GREAT VIEWS LOOKING OVER THE BAY AND OCEAN WATER IN 3 DIRECTIONS. HUGE MASTER BEDROOM AND MANY CONVIENCES THROUGHOUT.WITH THE FAMILY VISITING SUNSET BEACH SINCE 1974 WITHOUT MISSING A YEAR AND NOW WITH THE GROWTH OF OUR FAMILY WE ARE NOW RENTING THE NEIGHBORING BEACH HOUSE NEXT DOOR TOO TO ACCOMODATE THE GROWTH.

In general, the house is okay. Strengths are lots of space for everyone, new big fridge, lots of and variety of outdoor space, nice dock, incredibly large master bedroom with awesome view of the marsh and bay, the number and mostly new bathrooms (except one), general location near the beach and waterway, ground floor entrance and playroom, huge 70 inch TV but needs clear instructions to use, and very nice neighbors. Challenges are: could use a paint job outside and in, beds are mostly comfortable but foam pads make it hard to roll over, kitchen needs to be better organized and have larger cooking pots and pans for large groups that would rent a five bedroom house.,

Loved the location and the layout of the house, perfect for large families! Some renovations have been completed but several updates needed...

Good house, good location, lots of room - beautiful view.

Rainbow Landing was well suited to the needs of our family in terms of the number of bedrooms, the living area, screen porches, etc. The area that could use some improvement/renovation, however, is the kitchen. The counters are showing their age and are insufficient for work space, storage, etc. There is need for a pantry or some other separate storage area. Taken as a whole, we were pleased with our stay and look forward to next year.

We just left the Rainbow Landing beach house which is more a home than just a house. This is our forth (4th) year with family. We are all looking forward to next year' visit. This is a home with a million $ view on the bay front view of beautiful homes across the bay and view of canals, Atlantic Ocean and neighboring Ocean Isle. Great to see from porches and docks - a lot of small water craft, fishing, kayaks, etc. and sunset each day - The greatest part of our stay is the panoramic view of both the sunrise it's unique and somewhat unbelievable in this real setting. Gives a sense of peace and tranquility. The owner's Larry & Vicky have kept after the maintenance over the years and improvement too. We found Sunset Properties, the agent to be very responsive to our needs and very professional and courteous. Thank you all! Life is good.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Rainbow Landing. The view of the inlet from the porches was outstanding. The king size beds were very comfortable. The kitchen provisions--dishes, pots and pans, silverware, etc.--were well-suited to accommodate our extended family. Our only complaint regarding the cottage was the condition of the lamps and lamp shades. We did repair the screen on the screen door.We were surprised by the fact that the refrigerator, the floors, carpets under the beds, and bathroom counters were not cleaned. Our past experiences with Sunset Properties have been much better in this regard.

We have been staying at Rainbow Landing every summer for over 10 years. It has the perfect location for enjoying the beach as well as the Inlet. Our family enjoys fishing, swimming and kayaking. The home could use some upgrades and improvements. We will be back !

Our family has been coming to Rainbow Landing for our beach vacation for 11 years. We like the location - back door to the bay and front door just two blocks from the beach. Great views of sunrise and sunset from this house.
