A beautiful home and convenient to the beach and pier.

This is our second year staying at this property and we love it! I've stayed in many homes in the 30 years I've been coming here and this is definitely a favorite! It has plenty of space for our large family to spread out and relax together. My father in law has some mobility issues so having the elevator and the pool for when it's difficult for him to make it down to the beach have made this home so special for us! We will continue to come back to the Lazy Pelican for as long as we can!

Property very clean, spacious. Pool was clean, kitchen had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils.

We had an amazing week in this beautiful home! I have personally been coming to SSB for 35 years and this is the nicest home I've stayed in! My father in law has some mobility issues and he said multiple times how wonderful it was to be able to feel involved with the whole family by being able to take the elevator to each level. He was also able to get into the pool on days he couldn't make it to the beach. The kids and teens loved the pool as well and the Tiki bar was amazing for ice cream parties and lunches! We knew right away that we would rebook for next year and can't wait to come back!

We have been coming to Sunset Beach for 30 years, but this was the first time at The Lazy Pelican and the only time we have rebooked a house for the following year. This house is amazing and perfect for our family. The kitchen is so well stocked and the beds are super comfortable. The washer and dryer are large capacity and the screened in porch was the BEST. The elevator was great for carrying up all our luggage. The walk to the beach was short and we didn't miss being ocean front at all. My grandson took his first steps on the deck, which was fitting since my daughter (his mom) had her first Sunset Beach trip when she was 6 weeks old and has loved it ever since. Can't wait to go back next year!

Great house! The pool and the outside bar area added to the enjoyment. Will be back!

This was the perfect house for our family vacation. Very clean, and well stocked with kitchen items for a large group. Two living areas allowed for the family to spread out and the porches were used often. The highlight of the week was the pool and tiki bar area. After a day at the beach it was a perfect way to end the day. The pool was clean and well maintained. Can't wait to revisit next year.

The property was lovely . It accommodated our family of sixteen very well. The kids loved the pool and the close proximity to the store for slushes. We felt the area was very safe and easy access to the beach.

Island Boys is a fabulous vacation home. The owners have furnished it with everything you could need, and top shelf at that. The kitchen is well-stocked, the beds are comfortable, the outside living areas are a wonderful addition to the inviting indoor space. A short walk to the beach, views of the water, pool toys, what's not to love. Oh, but don't make a reservation. . . . .it's already hard to find an opening. : )

The property was very well equipped. Beautiful house. Any issues we had were taken care of quickly. We were very happy with our accommodations.the pool was a welcome addition especially for the grandkids. Looking forward to our return.

This was a beautiful property! There was plenty of room for our family group of three generations. The beds were all very comfortable. The elevator was wonderful for one of our party who has trouble with stairs and it was great for distributing luggage. The kitchen was beautiful and very well equipped! We would definitely love to stay here again in the future.

My husband and I have traveled to Sunset Beach for seven years, but this was our first time vacationing with our entire family (parents/inlaws/nieces). We selected Island Boys so that everyone would have space to relax without being on top of each other. Island Boys delivered space and so much more than we anticipated! The website pictures were amazing, but truly do not do this house justice. The home is wonderfully decorated with beautiful and better yet, extremely comfortable furniture. The floorplan was perfect with two family room areas and decks off each adult bedroom/living space, plus a screened in porch and an open-air deck. The exterior furniture includes rocking chairs perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee or beer while relaxing and listening to the ocean.Our family can be loud, but the newly constructed walls are insulated and ensure a restful stay. The beds are the most comfortable I've ever encountered in a rental and made me not miss my Select Comfort bed back at home. The bathrooms are all uniquely designed with gorgeous tile work and top of the line plumbing fixtures, including rainfall showerheads. The kitchen is perfect for cooking meals and entertaining a large group or family. You'll enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean from the third floor deck and dining room. For those traveling with young children, Island Boys also features a high chair and booster seat. While the kids bunk room offers 6 beds, it also has adequate space for our toddler's pack and play, since she's too young for the bunk beds. The owners have thoughtfully included "everyday" things that seem to get overlooked. For instance, the laundry room washer and dryers are huge (literally 3x larger than the average washer). I'll probably replace my home units now thanks to our stay. :)The laundry room also is stocked with laundry baskets, an iron, ironing board, cleaning accessories (vacuum/Swiffers). Each bedroom and living area features a large flat screen TV. Island Boys also is equipped with stairwell lighting and an elevator, which was very helpful to our older relatives with mobility issues. While every room and space of Island Boys was outstanding, the outdoor entertainment area was my favorite! The owners really took it to the next level by including an inground pool (3-4 feet deep) with a beautiful stamped concrete pool deck, corn hole game area, stacked stone built-in gas grill and granite tiki bar with flat screen tv and ceiling fans. We are always extremely cautious with young people near the water and never leave them unattended. But we were also very happy to see the high gates with safety latches around the outdoor pool/tiki bar area. There is also an outdoor shower and stairwell leading up to the laundry room from the pool area to ensure you don't track sand or water through the house. Island Boys is located just steps from the 28th Street beach access and around the corner from Sunset's bike rental and Island shops. It's always sad when our vacation comes to end, but our stay at Island Boys definitely made it even harder to head back home! We are grateful for the opportunity to stay at this home and hope to return again in the future.

The only word to describe this house is "WOW." This house truly has it all!!! Beautifully decorated, steps to the beach, ocean views, plenty of space, clean, pool, tiki bar, fully equipped. I have been renting vacation properties for 25 years and this is THE best house I have ever stayed in.

Great place with lots of space, pool, electronics, and AWESOME view. Really enjoyed all the outside family areas, like around the pool and on one of the many decks. Very close to the beach and the ICE Cream store... Great week, at a fantastic house.

Island Boys was beautiful! Every detail was handled with expert care. There were 17 of us w/ 9 grandchildren that stayed this year. The colors & fabrics chosen, layout of the home, the bunk room and the pool for our grandchildren (the ideal size), beautiful, warm and simply perfect. We have been coming to the island for over 30 years and this stay was by far the best! We thoroughly enjoyed this home, and would love to come again. Have a great Summer! Five Star Property There was nothing that wasn't thought of in this house, the kitchen was so well equipped,we had a blast preparing our meals. The dining table and island was big enough so we all could eat together The furnishings were awesome. We would recommend this house to house to anyone who really wanted a home away from home!

This brand new property had everything you could ever imagine and then some. I have to commend the owners on their decorative taste. The maritime/beach theme was everywhere, but never gaudy or over the top. It was simply relaxing and comfortable. I would recommend this property to anyone. It is simply splendid.

Island Boys was perfect for our family. It is an absolutely beautiful home. We have already booked it for next year!!
