On the Hour West is half of an oceanfront duplex on the east end of Sunset Beach. You can also rent the A side, On the Hour East, for a total of six bedrooms. It also has an interior connecting door! This home is located three houses away from the beach access for short, easy trips to the beach. Sit back, sip your favorite beverage, and enjoy the awesome ocean view from the covered porch or sun deck.
This property only allows Saturday through Saturday bookings.

The view is AWESOME! Kitchen utensils, pots and pans, silveware all were appropriate. Being so close to the beach just increased our peasure at being at Sunset and getting to watch the turtles hatch and make their crawl to the sea. I would also add that there seemed to be beach toys, chairs, etc. there for our use which made it even better. The only concern I have is, if we had to rent both sides (which we planned on anyway,) why are there 2 separate rental aggeements and pricing? Anyway, we took advantage of the the Wednesday opportunity to reserve for the same week next year and we will be back!

My wife and I enjoyed a nice quiet stay. The house was very comfortable and roomy. The walk to the beach was easy. Everything worked. The porches and decks were nice.

The duplex was very clean when we arrived. Everything was in working order. The beds were very comfortable which for me is a must. The view of the beach and ocean from the porch was absolutely great. We spent quite a bit of time on the porch enjoying the view. If you have problems with steps these would be a problem as they are steep. We stayed downstairs in the queen bedroom which was plenty large with a dresser and a nice closet. I would stay at 1612 B East Main Street again. I certainly would recommend the property and Sunset Properities.
We have stayed in this house previously- love the ocean front access! The best feature for us is the "duplex" with ability to cross over both sides to share large family space but also have privacy when wanted!Also we appreciated the brand new deck, stairs and outdoor showers- lovely!
