Eileen's Escape

We loved the place,it was very clean.We had everything in the kitchen we needed.The inside was decorated and up to date.

This was our first stay at Eileen's Escape, but we've been coming to Sunset the past 10 years. This had been by far our favorite ocean front home we've stayed in. It's on the smaller side which is perfect for our family but it had everything we needed has been well maintained.

The home was in a great location on the beach. Yet it was a quiet location where we could actually relax. It was nice to have a screened in porch off the living room and an open porch on the second floor off the main bedroom. The views of the ocean were beautiful and it was relaxing to listen to the ocean as well. All of this from either porch. The one area for improvement would be a recycling bin to go along with the trash bin.

Even though slightly dated, the upkeep of the property is fantastic. We have stayed all over the island in our 49 years of visits and this is the best for beach goers.

Great house with awesome views and beach access. Highly recommend both sides for larger families that need the space!

We had a great 2 weeks. The house was well stocked and the walkway to the beach was right there,,

The property and conditions were very good. The location is excellent. Had a great week and plan to return.

The house is clean and well-maintained. The pictures accurately reflected the house inside and out. Everything worked well - appliances, bathrooms, etc. Wifi worked. The location is great because the east end of the beach is not crowded. We really enjoyed our week at the house and will stay there again in the future.

We actually rented both sides of the duplex Eileen's Escape and Rich's Retreat and we were beyond happy with the house! Both were decorated very nice and had everything I needed to cook with during the week! Loved the views from the master bedroom and we enjoyed the screen porch looking over the dunes. We would love to stay again!

As always, we enjoyed our stay at Eileen's Escape. This is a great property, always maintained well and we have already booked for the same two weeks next year.

This was our second year renting Eileen's Escape. It's in a great location, and is always clean and tastefully decorated and furnished. The owners clearly take pride in the property and it shows. We have been vacationing at Sunset for over 25 years staying in many different rentals, and this one is one of our favorites.

Very Nice. Clean and well kept. We will not be able to come next year, but will certainly consider this property when we return. Another great year.

This is an exceptional property with great value. Rich and Eileen go out of their way every single year to add value to their property to create the best vacation experience for their clients. We are always impressed with the investments they make in the property for the benefit of their clients and we do our best to leave the property exactly the way we found it so others can enjoy. We will always come to what has been for a long time for our family and continues to be a wonderful vacation experience!

Eileen's escape was a delightful, clean and very well equipped beach house! My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay there this past week! The views from the porch and just standing at the kitchen sink were spectacular! The owners were very accommodating to our needs. The location at the end of the island was very peaceful! Having owned a beach front house in Topsail beach NC for 9 years and renting it out I am quite familiar with all the work and time it takes to keep a clean and well equipped beach front property. The owners have outdone themselves! I thoroughly recommend staying at this property!

Love this property. Very nice and clean. It has everything we need and we have stayed at this property 4 times. We love this beach and would stay here when we return. The screened porch is wonderful. Thank you to the owners for a wonderful and comfortable stay.

We have been coming down to Sunset Beach every year for the past 30 years and have used Sunset properties as our realtor for approx. 27 of the 30 years. Rich's Retreat and Elaines Escape are by far the best maintained properties we ever stayed at (our Daughter husband and 3 grandchildren stayed at Elaines Escape). It is evident that the owners take pride in what they own and the repairs and offseason maintenance is topnotch.
