Ed's House

Ed's House was a great place to stay. We had plenty of room and everyone was very comfortable. The sunrise and sunset views were great.

Great house, kitchen well equipped, large bedrooms, great deck, great view of bay. The only thing, and I know it's not required, just wish they had beach chairs available to use. Will definitely rent this house again. Very well maintained

We have been staying at this property for over 5 years now and hope to continue renting this home in the future. We enjoy the house as if it's our own. The home is very comfortable for a large family and for entertaining others while on vacation. Great furnishings, large deck, and the best sunsets you can enjoy from the east side of the island (in our opinion).

This home is a beautiful rental property. We have booked for three consecutive years and plan on booking continually for the foreseeable future. The home is very comfortable and inviting. The back deck has room for a big family gathering and the dock, recently upgraded, is an added bonus. The bedrooms are spacious with each bedroom having its own huge private bathroom. If you have a big family, this is the house to rent.

We love staying at Ed's House at 1305 Canal Dr. This was our 2nd time staying at Ed's House and we already booked it again for next year. It is actually our favorite house on the island so far. It is the perfect size for our family in that each of us has our own bedrooms and on-suites plus it is also a very nice and well equipped kitchen and house as well. Its a beautiful home! Another one of our favorite areas is always the sunroom. The views of the bay and the sunsets from the back porch are amazing. We loved eating most of our meals on the back porch dining table. It was always so nice and a great breeze and we loved it at night because it was just gorgeous and so quiet. That is one of the main reasons we love Sunset Beach so much! We have been coming to Sunset Beach each year for the past 29 years. Our traditions will continue as long as the Lord allows. Thank you for making our visit so fantastic!

Very nice. House keeping missed a few things. Problem with tv was address quickly. They were true gentlemen.We would rent the home again. Enjoyed the stay.

We really really enjoyed our stay at Ed's House. The kitchen was so spacious and we loved the sunroom. It was nice to have enough couch/chair space in the den as well. The beds slept very well and we loved the back porch over the bay. We stayed out there more than we stayed indoors. We also loved the palm trees around the back side of the house. It gave us a little privacy in the evenings when everyone was out on their porches and decks. We have stayed at other houses on Sunset Beach and this one was by far the nicest home yet. It was a little pricey and for that only reason we didn't book it again for next year.The only negative thing we noticed at the house was there weren't any electrical receptacles under the house to plug in our golf cart rental to charge it. We looked everywhere so we had to go to Ace Hardware in Calabash to buy a drop cord long enough to run it up to the front porch plug receptacle to charge our golf cart rental. Other than that, it was a wonderful, clean and beautiful home. We would recommend it to everyone!!!!!!

5 Star!! This property is exactly as represented on the website!! Close to the beach and perfect dock for our boat. It is well stocked and very very clean!! We would recommend this property to anyone!

We love Ed's house and have stayed there several years. Love being on the canal and the layout of the house. The only issue, which improved from last year, is the birds. They run the roost and there is a lot of bird poop.

This was our 5th stay at Ed's House on Canal Drive. It is in a great location and the size of the home is perfect for our extended family. We have felt each year that this property is well maintained and clean. We love the deck that looks out to the canal and the front porch that looks out to the road and beach. We love the size of the kitchen and the dining area and the sunroom provide the perfect seating for our family. We enjoy the large couch and chairs in the den for hanging out after a day at the beach.

This property was the best place we have rented in all the 40 years of going to Sunset. Well equipped and very clean. We will be renting it again and again.

This was our 5th stay at Ed's House on Canal Drive. We love this house because of the size and the location. We love having the pier that we can fish and kayak from. The home is spacious and has large bedrooms and the living area is great for our large family. The kitchen is well stocked for nights we cook in and we love the ice machine in the kitchen. We like the fact that the owner calls once during our stay each year to see if all is going well and if we need anything. That means a lot to us. We have reserved this home again next year and look forward to making lots of memories again.
