Dunes Day

Another wonderful multi-family vacation at Sunset Beach! This makes 40 years coming here with our family. Dunes Day is a wonderful large vacation home. This year we had 3 recovering from health issues so the elevator was a tremendous help for the whole gang. We love the views, the spread out sleeping options, the icemaker and all the outdoor space. We noticed and appreciated the recent updates, especially in the bathrooms. We look forward to our return next year. I highly recommend this home, if you can find an empty week on their schedule!

Absolutely incredible house. The views are unbelievable so much room for everybody. The elevator was a huge plus with my wife and a medical condition not allowing her to walk. If you're looking for a wonderful vacation house with all the amenities, there should only be one choice Dunes Day.

Excellent accommodations for a large group. Very clean upon check-in, tons of seating inside and outside on the decks, plenty of bedding, adequate bath towels (one for each guest - repeated washing during stay), no beach towels was a disappointment. Silverware (forks, spoons & knives for eating) were a little sparse. Had a lot of difficulty with the coffee maker running over. Tried different filters and coffee type but still would not drain from filter area properly. Plenty of chairs, umbrella's and things for the beach, although some had wear and tear since it was the end of the season. Great location with quick and easy access to the beach. Lots of parking. Great outdoor shower and hose access to rinse the sand off of everyone and everything.

This was our 3rd year staying at Dunes Day and our family loves the house and its location on the oceanside. The older members of the family appreciate having an elevator so we don't have to climb the stairs. We hope to be able to come again next year.

Perfect location and a beautiful home. We totally enjoyed our stay at Sunset Beach and look forward to coming back next year!

Beautiful beach house. Loved the big ice maker. The elevator was definitely well used by everyone on arrival/departure/grocery days. The house is in need of some TLC, especially the deck in full sun area. Plenty of rooms for our 4 family household. We will be back! Thank you!

Dunes Day is a wonderful place for our family to gather. The house is well laid out and comfortably furnished. The owners have done a great job of providing ample outside seating.(Thank you!)

Dunes Day is a serious beach house. It is big, it has a beautiful view, and it's a premium beachfront property. There is plenty of room inside, and the house is well-equipped. This was out family's eighth straight year, so you know we like it. Dogs have become a consideration in our beach plans, and because Dunes Day is not a pet-friendly house, we won't be staying there next year. But for anyone else, it's a great property. With the bigtime weekly rental price, it works best for a larger family (six bedrooms, six baths). The owners have worked hard over the years to keep the place updated, too.

This was our 2nd year in this house. We absolutely love it, especially the elevator and the gorgeous ocean view. We have a tentative reservation for next year.

Dunes Day was an absolute delight! As a group of older women , the floor plan was perfect for those that needed assistance (elevator and grab bars in one of the bathrooms) and those that may have wanted a touch of privacy. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated (the whole house, in fact) and each bedroom has its own bath. The view from the living area balcony is wonderful and there are plenty of comfortable rockers/chairs for all. The home was spotless and had everything we needed.(ok, not toilet paper but we read the fine print, lol.) We've already booked for next year to return to our new favorite rental! Thank you to the owners for being so thoughtful in your choices for furniture, design and provisions.

the house is wonderful, with convenient access to the beach. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available, which was very nice. We would stay here again.

We loved this property, location, inside and out.The only thing that would make it better would be a screened-in porch!

This was our seventh annual stay at Dunes Day, and we're coming back again next year. The house is nicely furnished, is plenty big enough for all of us, and has been updated over the last few years. We really enjoyed the kitchen updates this year.

Wonderful house with great views and elevator.

We've stayed at Dunes Day for six years and have booked a week again in 2022. The house is always well-kept, and we were very happy with some upgrades this year -- a kitchen remake, with new countertops, appliances and cabinet hardware; and a new ice machine. New couches arrived while we were staying at the house. The elevator is very convenient, given the size of the house. This is a very nice vacation property. The owners obviously care about the house.

704 East Main is a tremendous beach house and we thoroughly enjoyed our vacation! The house had everything we needed to relax and enjoy Sunset Beach.

The pictures of this house did not do it justice. Wonderful home to rent for families as we combined 4 families easily into this house. So good of owners to share their beach chairs along with their baby items. Great week for all. Can not wait for next year!

This was our fifth straight year at Dunes Day, and it met all expectations, as usual. In fact, this year, it exceeded expectations. Hurricane Isaias paid a visit, and Dunes Day held up very well against the storm. We felt safe, even when the wind gusted to hurricane strength. Otherwise, the house was in its usual good shape, with plenty of extras.

Dunes Day was absolutely wonderful. The location is perfect. The home is equipped with everything you need for a beach visit. The decks are amazing. It is truly a home away from home.

This was our fourth consecutive year at Dunes Day, and we've booked again for 2020. We love the house. It's big enough to spread out, but it has a couple rooms that are well-designed for our family to gather. We like the large dining room table, the den, the decks, and the bedrooms. Maintenance was great. There were a few minor problems -- the kind you'll always see with a house in fulltime use -- but Sunset Properties maintenance was quick to make repairs. And it's great to have the elevator working again this year. A few of the supplies in the kitchen (cups, tableware) have disappeared over the past year, but the kitchen otherwise is well-stocked. We really enjoy our annual week at Dunes Day.

Enjoyable week. Large family group of 12 and all went well. We love Sunset Beach and will come back again. Furniture was a bit dated but adequate. Overall wonderful week.

Dunes Day is a favorite of ours. The decks and views are amazing!! This house holds a lot of people comfortably. We love the view from the kitchen!! It could use some updating ..it is showing some wear and tear. The rugs are getting old and soiled. But we love it there !!!!!!!

Dunes Day is a fabulous place to stay at the beach -- unless the elevator isn't working. Then it becomes a pretty good place. We've stayed there three years and are planning to return next year. The house is spacious and is kept up very well. It has a great view of the ocean and has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. There's a TV in nearly every corner of the house, the A/C works extremely well, and there are plenty of extras. The kitchen is big enough, and the eating area with a beach view is very nice. The beds are large and very comfortable. We wonder why the rear access to the beach is through a bedroom (couldn't there have been a separate door to the lower deck?), but that's another issue for another day. And it's minor. What is a bit more than "minor" is staying at the house without the elevator functioning. This is a big, tall house, with plenty of stairs. The elevator apparently has not been working for much of the summer, and one member of our party who has knee problems went home with swelling and pain from dealing with the steps. But other than that, Dunes Day is a great piece of property and a wonderful place to spend some beach time.

Dunes Day is one of our favorite beach homes. It is spacious and handles guests easily. The deck space is my favorite aspect of this home. The ocean panorama from the kitchen and living g space is gorgeous 💙

Dunes Day is a beaultiful house, and our entire family looks forward to the second week of August every year. But the condition of the house this year was spectacular. Kudos to the cleaning crew -- they did a spectacular job. Working with Sunset Properties is a true joy.

We have spent our yearly vacation on Sunset Beach many many times and always try to stay in Dunes Day. It is a beautifully kept house in a prime location on the coast. We have reserved it again for next year and will stay there year after year.

Dunes Day is a great beach house. Our extended family has stayed here twice and enjoyed our stay very much. The views from the upper deck are wonderful, a perfect place for breakfast and evening fun!

The house is a beautiful house... Usually we don't go for such a large house but I had relatives from uk and friends visiting the following week, it's great that the house has as many bathrooms as bedrooms and we didn't get in each other's way.The beach is a great beach for children surf not too high.Had a wonderful time.

Dunes Day is a spacious, comfortable, well equipped home; this was our family's third year in it. The elevator is such a help when moving in and out. Great location.

In the Sunset Properties description, the home sounded like a first-class resort-type facility. It did not disappoint. The home was in great shape and had everything that was advertised. The beach view was even better than advertised. This was a sensational place, and even though it is about $1,500 to $1,800 above our typical spending limit, we are staying at Dunes Day again next year. Hopefully, the stock market will treat our investments well.

We come from all over the United States to meet up at Dunes Day. It has been a place of fun and wonderful family memories. We love it! And will continue to come back to Dunes Day and Sunset Beach!!
