Dune our Thing

Ms. Dorthy, the owner of the property and full time resident of Sunset Beach has changed Dune our Thing 907B from a beach house to a home! We have stayed there the first summer after it was bullt and have stayed each summer since! The amenities far exceed all expectations of a stay away from home! It is a home truly. Because of the comfort of the home we have been staying two weeks each year. What more could be said? A big THANK YOU to Ms Dorothy and Sunset Properties! ♥️

A wonderful house - well-equipped and comfortable. We especially like that it's all one level and that each bedroom has its own bath.

Excellent property with spacious bed room, each with own bathroom, and large open area for kitchen, and living room. The screen porch and covered and uncovered desk all worked well and were extremely well-furnished with outdoor furniture. Kitchen was extremely well furnished and well organized. Everything was in excellent shape and thoughtfully arranged.

We have stayed in this home - and that's what it is - a home away from home - since the home was built seven years ago. It has everything anyone could need. We cook in and we could not ask for anything more. The walk to the beach is just over the dunes. The owners are WONDERFUL! They live on the second level and are such wonderful people. Again this home is one of the best we have ever stayed in and we have been coming to Sunset for 36 years.

Great location! Enjoyed seeing the great view of dunes and refurnished board walk is nice!

Very nice pet friendly property. The boardwalk at 36th was being replaced so there's quite a bit of noise from construction traffic. That said, we will at least have a new boardwalk when we return in June 2024!

This is a nice, comfortable beach house. There is plenty of room for people to spread out, but also for the family to be together. The kitchen is nicely equipped. The owner's who live upstairs are very nice. The beach is super wide and perfect for playing beach games on!! The beach access is directly next to the house which made for easy trips back and forth. Great location! Beautiful natural area between the house and oceanfront. We saw deer and tons of birds!

We absolutely love this home and have stayed here for four years now. The new bunk beds were a blast for my daughter. I appreciate that the owners continue to make upgrades and take so much pride in their home and rental property. One piece of feedback for consideration: the mattress in the main master bedroom is terribly uncomfortable. It is sunken in and causes us back pain every year. It would be wonderful if they would upgrade to a firmer mattress (memory foam) for those of us with back pain.

Dune our Thing is above and beyond being a vacation home! We have stayed in that home since it was built - six years ago! It is like our home away from home. There isn't anything missing! We appreciate all the owners have done to make the house a home for renters. What more can we say other than Dune our Thing is a renter's dream!

This house is amazing! We have been staying each summer since it was newly built and opened for rentals. It is our home away from home! And the owners who live in the upper level are GREAT!

This is our second year in this lovely property. Some of the many things we appreciate are the big shower and soaker tub in master bath, good mattresses, spacious living area, the covered deck with an ocean view, eating on the screen porch ( which also has ocean view) and the well equipped kitchen. This home was clearly built and is maintained with thought and care. As with all multi-unit buildings, there is a little noise from the upstairs unit ( but next year we will simply bring our white noise machine, problem solved!)

Great place to stay. We are a family of 10 and cook in. The unit is equipped with all that one needs! This was our 5th year staying at DUNE and out 33rd staying at Sunset. The upper and lower duplex concept is great! And now the wonderful owners who hare their home have retired and are living on the upper level. . The only thing different this year was the wicked tropical storm that actually blew out the screens on the sun porch. We had a wonderful two weeks and are already scheduled for next year!

Well maintained and equipped. Bug free. Great inside dining, and screen porch dining. Plus large outside deck for relaxing setting. Situated right on an access path, so seconds from the beach and views of the ocean are tremendous. A perfect rental for a perfect beach vacation.

Great place to stay and easy access to the beach. Love the open living space. We love the home away from home.

This was a great place to stay. Had good access to the beach and I love the laid back atmosphere of Sunset Beach. This was my fourth time on the island but first renting a house and it is really worth it!

Excellent beach front home. Well maintained and supplied. Couches could use an update considering that's the room we congregate in the most.

Dune our Thing is the perfect place for our family! We have teens and twin three year olds! Being able to walk to the beach and back quickly has been wonderfully. The home is kitchen equipped which is great for us as we cook in - no waiting in restaurant lines for us. The open floor plan is great as well because one never feels crowded. This is our 30th year at Sunset and our 2nd in this home. We rented the first year "sight unseen" as it was being built and we were more than excited once we arrived and saw the Home. We already have reservations for 2019. Finally we love the folks at Sunset Properties - no matter when we call or visit we are always met with a smile. Our week was wonderful as was the weather.

We loved our week at Dune Our Thing! The house was absolutely gorgeous with plenty of room for 2 families. We would stay here again for sure.

Our family of eight adults & two dogs thoroughly enjoyed a delightful Thanksgiving Week at Dune Our Thing! It is a BEAUTIFUL, well-designed and well-furnished home ... with a fabulous screened porch and spacious deck overlooking the sparkling Atlantic Ocean! An unusual duplex design for Sunset Beach ... we rented the entire, spacious first floor and the (very nice) owners were upstairs!

this is a beautiful, comfortable, well equipped house in an amazing location. it might be the nicest house we've ever stayed in at Sunset Beach.

The unit we rented, 907B-Dune Our Thing, was beautiful. It was spacious, clean, modern, and very appealing. There are four in our family, and we had gracious plenty room. The kitchen was well equipped, which made eating "at home" easy. Our family dinners gave us precious time to be together to share and laugh. At the end of our week, we all felt refreshed.

We rented the property because of the location and admittedly did so kind of blind - the only thing available to make our decision were blueprints at the time & I have to say they did not do justice to the house! There was not one bit of space that did not function in a manner to support a blended group for an extended period of time. The common areas were conducive to multiple activities, groups, and conversations, all the while feeling inclusive regardless of where you were! The bedrooms were amazing and beautifully decorated, and included comfortable beds :-) . The deck and screened porch were divine and a family favorite. We were eager to book the home again for next season! In a group of 10 the unanimous decision was love at first stay!

It's a cute house and a nice representation of the original style of beach houses built in the area.
