Duke's Place

Duke's Place is, for us, the absolute best house on the island. It is configured with a king bed and private bath on each floor, which we like because we enjoy sharing with our friends. The crow's nest is among the tallest and provides fantastic views of the sunset, the ocean, the inland waterway and, if you're up, the sunrise. The house is well-maintained and the kitchen appliances are up to date.

We've grown familiar with Duke's Place during the last four or five years. It's spacious and comfortable with an excellent crow's nest. Since spring, the owners have installed new kitchen appliances: dish washer, range, microwave and refrigerator.

We loved the house we stayed in. It has been well maintained and as a guest we appreciate getting what we paid for. Thank you for a great week of vacation with our family.

Duke's Place continues as our go-to spot. Really high crow's nest with views of the ocean, inland waterway, marsh and magnificent sunsets. Comfortable layout, with king beds downstairs and upstairs and private bathrooms.

We believe The Duke is the best house on the island. It suits us perfectly. We like that it's configured for multiple people, with a king bed on the first and second floors and full baths on each level. The crow's nest is maybe the tallest on the island. In addition to the sunset, you can see both the ocean and the inland waterway.

This is a lovely, well-appointed home that exceeded our expectations. We had everything we needed to cook family meals. So happy they thought to have a tea kettle and pitcher for those of us who love our iced tea! Wonderful screened porch made for late night conversations while little ones slept. Great access to the west end of the island. My only regret is that we were having such a wonderful time I failed to book it for next year!

The house is designed to accommodate two families at once, with a king bed on each level. It's a well-maintained property and my wife and I enjoy staying there.

Duke's Place is the best house on the island, we believe, and we've used multiple houses. We particularly like the tall crow's nest and its incredible views of the ocean and the marsh. It also affords gorgeous sunset vistas.

Modern , spacious, comfortable and convenient.

We have been vacationing at Sunset Beach since 1981, missing only one year in 1983. We have been staying at Duke's Place for the past several years as it is most comfortable for our family. It feels sort of like home to us now! Its proximity to the beach is wonderful and it is comfortably furnished. We also appreciate being able to extend our week's stay a few more days. The kitchen is well equipped - the only thing missing is an ice cream scoop! We hope to continue to visit Sunset Beach and Duke's Place.

Duke's Place was one of the nicest homes we've ever stayed in at Sunset. It was well furnished, and had very comfortable beds. We had all the amenities of home, although the kitchen lacked a couple of items (vegetable peeler, storage containers.) The roof deck view was incredible. We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home!!

We have stayed at Duke's Place for about 10 years and thoroughly enjoy the home and location. It is such a comfortable vacation house for our family with plenty of room for everyone to have a private space if so chosen. We noticed this year that some of the furnishings are showing some wear but that is a sign of a well-used house.

Duke's Place is a beautiful home! So many nice features and especially loved being close to the beach. It was a great place to stay with family. Watching the stunning sunsets and views at the top was definitely a highlight!

This house is a five star. Clean and well maintained. One of our favorites! Can't wait till next year!

We have been vacationing at Sunset Beach for 35 years and have always enjoyed our stay. We have been returning to Duke's Place for the past 8 years or so because we find the home to be most comfortable for our needs. It is spacious, well furnished, close to the beach and it "feels like home" to my family!
