Curious Mermaid

This is the second time we stayed at this property and we love it!! Beautiful home. Great location. We look forward to renting from this property every year.

Pleasantly surprised by how spacious this house was. Great location, too.

We always love staying at the curious mermaid house. Unfortunately, this year we battled ants and a cockroach. We also noticed many wall and ceiling panels were damaged and peeling away from the walls and ceilings.

We had a wonderful in the Curious Mermaid for the week. This was our 3rd year staying in this home and next year will be our 4th. Close to the beach. Well kept. Comfortable. Like home.

We have been coming to Sunset every other year for 25+ years, and this is one of the more comfortable homes we have stayed in, Clean and comfortable, with a great layout and great beach access. The only negative was that the house in fairly close to pier and public parking, which made the beach a bit more crowded than we are used to. Still, we will definitely try for this house again, and highly recommend it..

The house was clean and spacious.

Nice beach house with homey decor! Close to beach access, view of pier from widows deck, large master bedroom/bathroom, comfortable beds. Lots of room for the whole family with 2 living room and 2 tables to eat at.. Kitchen is stocked with great pans that don't stick!! Oh and we cooked on the weber grill most nights!!Wish this home still allowed dogs!!

We really liked the Curious Mermaid. Very comfortable and roomy. We will definitely book again!

We love Curious Mermaid although we miss a front porch. Lots of room for all of us. Front door needs fixed , can opener replaced, but other than that it was great. Sunset Properties is great! Easy to work with and very accommodating.

Curious Mermaid is a cute, older beach home located just across the street from beach access and within an easy walk to shops. Very spacious master bedroom with its own bathroom. (double sinks and a tub/shower combo). 3 other nice-sized bedrooms that share a hall bath. Surprisingly large closets for an older home. We found the beds comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the rest of the home neat and clean. The lockable storage area under the house was wonderful for storing our kayaks, and it was pleasantly neat and tidy as well. This isn't a huge, brand new house, but it is larger than it looks in pictures and is comfortable, clean and well-maintained. We would definitely rent it again.

We have stayed at this house at Sunset Beach for many years and absolutely love it! It is close to the beach and has plenty of room with wonderful views from the roof deck! Also it is now pet friendly, which means we can bring our precious dog with us and she loves the beach as much as we do. The house has undergone some upgrades as well and we will return to stay at the Curious Mermaid again and again. Also the people at Sunset Properties are wonderful to deal with! They are so nice and answer any and all questions you may have! Sunset Beach has always been, to me, a little piece of Heaven on earth. It is family oriented and just an overall wonderful, memory making place to vacation!

The house was great and met all our needs.

The Curious Mermaid is a very comfortable abode with convenient access to the beach. We enjoyed the common areas available for family games and watching a movie. We even took advantage of using the grill provided for several nights of grilled dining. Can't think of a better place to have enjoyed our week on Sunset Beach.

We enjoyed our visit to Sunset Beach and loved The Curious Mermaid. It was roomy, clean, and very convenient to the beach access. We enjoyed going up to the roof deck in the mornings wih our coffee. The house supplied all we needed for a comfortable stay for the week and our furry friends loved it too!
