Blue Marlin Retreat

The house is large, easily accommodates our family of 10. Beach access is a short walk.

Perfect home for a large family gathering.

Beautiful house with plenty of room for 10people to stay and claim their own space. Kitchen well stocked. Dishwasher door frame is bent/-maintenance came promptly for repair but needed parts. Upgrades on dock are wonderful and new refrig with functioning ice maker/water dispenser is appreciated. Linen pkg well worth the cost!!!Caught several blue crabs in canal. Love the porch outside kitchen.

We love this 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom house for our large family. Sunset Beach is a beautiful, relaxing beach.

This property is the best for 12 people. So much space for everyone canal provided hours of crabbing and paddle boarding for the young folks. Gorveousv views from upstairs deck. Kitchen is spacious and well equipped. Wish there was a BIGGER refrig. I think this is our 14th year at this property. Sunset properties are so prompt to correct any needs during week

Great house for extended family vacation!

We will be staying at the Blue Marlin Retreat again next summer. The location is perfect. We have been vacationing in Sunset for 31 years.The house accommodated us well. The labeling in the kitchen and of lights, fans was helpful. Having 2 living areas was a plus.We enjoyed the dock and the seating area under the house. Access to a few chaies, 2 boogie boards and 2 beach carts was a plus.There were a few cons. The pillows were squishy, the freezer/ ice maker didn't work well , the kitchen sink was stained and the stools at peninsula were too low. Those were minor concerns. My family will return next year to this house!

Not happy that there was no cable at this house. We are not good with streaming.

This home was absolutely wonderful! It was spacious and well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was organized and labeled. The only cons we had were that the upstairs bedrooms did not have closets and the upstairs bathroom shower was very small. Everything else was perfect! We will definitely be staying here in the future!

Another wonder stay at Blue Marlin Retreat! Many happy memories made with family! This house is so well equipped for our vacation. From beach chairs and umbrella to games for both the kiddos and the adults. Amazing sunsets from the upper balcony! We saw a sea turtle swimming in the canal on 2 different occasions!

We had a wonderful time in Sunset Beach. The house was clean and comfortable. It was furnished with everything we needed for a great vacation. It would have been helpful to know there were beach chairs available for our use as well as kayaks. We brought ours from Florida! Also a hairdryer or two would have been nice. We loved the location and would definitely rent this home again.

This is the fourth year that my siblings and I have rented this home, a total of 12 people, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our vacation times there. The guys enjoy fishing on the Intercoastal Waterway from the dock on the canal where the house is located, we enjoy sitting under the house in the cool evenings and walking on the beach together. We cook most of our meals for the week here and the kitchen bar and dining table seats us all comfortably and the kitchen is well-stocked for our cooking needs. We hope we will be renting at Blue Marlin Retreat again in seasons to come.

We liked the Blue Marlin very much. We would love to stay there again. It was nicely decorated with bright beachy colors. the bedrooms were roomy with a bathroom very close to each one. We loved being on the canal and the porches were great places to hang up out and were nicely furnished. We really enjoyed the large screen tvs in each family room and having a tv in each bedroom was nice too. The kitchen was welled stocked with many pots and pans- all in good condition. there were 2 thing that we felt the kitchen needed-dish towels and extra silverware particularly forks.We liked the availability of beach chairs and the close walk to the beach.The last observation was the shower heads didn't provide a lot of force. But overall we loved it and would definitely go back.

The Blue Marlin Retreat was a beautiful spacious home and provided an outstanding view on the canal for our siblings and spouses to enjoy a memorable family vacation. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and a living space on each level provided us the room to spread out and enjoy our time together. We'll be back again next year!

This was our second year at this home. We love that it fits our family nicely. There is plenty of room with 2 living rooms. Many televisions so everyone can be happy. The kitchen is well equipped to make meal prep easy.

This is a lovely home, with many nice touches to make your stay pleasant. We were thankful for the views from the home. Even a dull task like washing dishes is made more pleasant when you can see the ocean while you complete it. Having a TV in each bedroom was a bonus, we had small children, teens and adults, so when the adults were tired of bubble guppies they were able to watch they wanted too. The view of the sunset off the dock or top deck was amazing. We are looking forward to returning!
