Acorn House is a lovely home located on the marsh on the west end of Sunset Beach. The screened porch and multiple decks provide a fantastic way to soak in the stunning views and sunsets at Sunset Beach. Crabbing on the private pier is a fun activity, and stargazing over the west end is magical. Plus, being close to Bird Island is a great bonus!
This is a Linen Ready home – bath towels, kitchen towels and bathmats will be provided at no charge, and the beds will be made with linen upon arrival.

The house was so beautiful and comfortable, and the views of the marsh were incredible. We saw egrets, herons, mergansers, Northern harriers, osprey, white-tailed deer, and a bald eagle from the deck. What an incredible place!

Acorn House is a lovely custom built home on Madd Inlet with fabulous views from a nice porch and upper deck. It is spacious and has a nice kitchen and amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation here!

This is the perfect family vacation home. While not on the beach, it is an easy walk to the beach and the location on the marsh offers lots of fun for kayakers and paddleboarders and people who just like to watch the marsh fill up and empty with the tides. Clean, in good repair, and well equipped, this will be our go-to place from now on. Can't wait for next year.

We absolutely loved our time at Acorn House. With several small children, it was a delight to let them play out in the relative safety of the marsh and collect crabs, snails and shrimp daily and float around during the high tides. The adults loved the views and breathtaking sunsets, 10/10 would recommend!

This is a wonderful house on the inlet. When the tide is out the inlet is great for exploring. The sunsets over Bird Island are fantastic. The house is owned by a sculptor and many of his pieces are in the house. My only suggestion would be adding a king sized bed in the master bedroom and a shower head to the outside shower.

What a lovely home in a perfect location! The views over the salt marsh have got to be some of the best on the island, and there are numerous spots around the house, inside and out, to enjoy them. (The driveway to the house also goes through a bit of maritime forest- a rarity these days- and provides some privacy from the street and more lovely views.) The house itself is beautifully furnished and decorated, yet comfortable, welcoming and family friendly. The kitchen is well-equipped, and we loved the way it is open to the great room so the cooks don't feel isolated. Overall a fabulous home for a family getaway- we can't wait to come back!
Comfortable home for our extended family to gather in. Large dining table and plenty of comfortable seating areas with furnished decks. Kitchen is spacious and decently stocked. Location is very good with great views and marsh access. We were hopeful we could put a kayak in but the dock is not boat friendly. Short walk to the beach. We intend to stay here again next year.
