Truly enjoyed my stay at Scott’s Lowland Fling! The back porch views and lower deck are INCREDIBLE and make it easy to take in all Sunset beach has to offer. Spent every evening on the back porch watching the gorgeous views. The beach is also just a short stroll away. The home is nicely updated and had all we needed for a long weekend away. Will definitely be staying again!

We just returned from an incredible stay at this beach house, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. Traveling with six adults and two kids can be a lot to coordinate, but this home made everything feel effortless.The views are simply unmatched—hands down the best on the island. Whether it was morning coffee or evening sunsets, we found ourselves constantly drawn to the porch, soaking in the scenery. Speaking of the porch, the recent upgrades to the two-level outdoor space are absolutely stunning and quickly became our favorite gathering spot.Inside, the home strikes the perfect balance between comfort and coastal charm. It’s beautifully decorated with a thoughtful beach personality that feels elevated but still welcoming—exactly what you want on a getaway. Every amenity you could possibly need is there, and then some. It’s clear the owners have invested in both style and functionality, with recent upgrades that make a real difference.For the quality of the home and the experience it delivers, the price point is fantastic. If you’re looking to experience the magic of Sunset Beach with a group or family, this place is a rare find. We’re already talking about when we can come back!

We had such a great weekend at Scott’s Lowland Fling! We watched beautiful sunsets over the marsh, played games and read books on the spacious porch, and enjoyed the quick walk to the beach. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Cannot wait to come back!

Was very neat and clean

They were so considerate of me and answered all my questions and I think it was one of the best days of my life I have always enjoyed Sunset Beach going there with my mother in the early years but this was wonderful having my brother and my friend there they were so cordial to us at the Sunset Beach properties business office I really love those people and I know it must have been hard during covid and I applaud them for being very very safe and conscientious of us and protecting us as customers. 

We have stayed in Scott's Lowland Fling for a week each June for probably the last ten years. We enjoyed its cozy unpretentious comforts before but must say that the recent remodel and updates are fantastic! For a modest size footprint, improvements made the most of available space. Beautiful flooring throughout, new mattresses/furnishings/linens, lovely white kitchen cabinets/black and gray speckled granite countertops/stainless appliances with kitchen sink in a better location all made for an even more

We love staying at this house on the marsh. Perfect for solitude and bird watching. Easy access for paddling. And the neighbors are so friendly.

Comfy charming older home on marsh. Million dollar views of tides, birds, light. Has everything we need for a relaxed week at Sunset. Pleasant little hike to beach.

The location of the property was fantastic. The views were spectacular.

Probably our tenth year at Scotts Lowland Fling. Comfortable and well-appointed with updates in kitchen and bathrooms, deck, etc. Unobstructed view of marsh towards SC is our favorite feature. Mattresses and linen are excellent. No problems at all with AC or appliances. Had to seek assistance from rental office with getting cable TV on rather than streaming apps which we know nothing about. Peggy came immediately and was very able and helpful. We treasure being able to return to this particular rental each summer for the last ten or more years. We relax sitting on the back deck looking out over the marsh watching the tides, birds, changing skies, and distant lights at night. We get some exercise walking to the ocean and as far as we feel able on wide open stretches of beach, swimming in the surf, or biking the neighborhood. Owners have kept this charming house well updated over the years. It is plenty of space for the two of us. 

Excellent location with beautiful views of the marsh and Bird Island from the back porch. Well-appointed kitchen and recent renovation throughout. All the amenities of home away from home.

We like the older charm of this cottage. Updates are lovely and comfortable without being coldly stylish. We further love the location of this cottage on the marsh facing Mad Inlet yet only a short walk to the beach.

Lovely interior, newly renovated. Comfortable beds. Nicely appointed kitchen. But who cares about that when you can sit on that deck, smell the tidal creek and watch the sunset! Most enchanting property we've stayed at on SunSet Beach! We been going for 18 years.

We loved this property! It has been beautifully remodeled with amazing appliances and comfortable, attractive furnishings. I especially appreciated the tall storage cabinet in my bedroom which made storing and finding clothing so easy. And, most importantly, the deck off the marsh offers soothing views and relaxing breezes. The Sunset Properties staff were most helpful....Yes Emily, there is a grill! Thank you for a wonderful week.
