Wonderful views of Bird Island and the sunset from the large rear deck await in this island classic that is pet-friendly. Mauna Kea is a privately owned Sunset Beach vacation rental. Sunset Properties provides its professional rental management services.
It is a Linen Ready home-Bath/kitchen towels and bath mats will be provided, and the beds will be made with linen at no charge. The home also is 'dog-friendly', allowing up to 2 dogs per rental stay for an additional $150 pet fee. You'll be asked when you reserve the home for the pet's name(s).
Mauna Kea's interior amenities include TV, DVD, CD player and stereo, and WIFI & DSL internet access. Come enjoy the gorgeous views from the covered porch, sundeck, and pier. Please note, the boat dock pictured is not included, it's the neighbor's property.

Oh Mauna Kea, how we love you!! Friends from TN & NC converge on you each May for a week of friendship, laughter, bird watching, seafood, walking to Bird Island, and meditation at Kindred Spirit. Love the homey atmosphere topped only by the spectacular views from the deck.

This will be the first year in the past 10+ that we haven't stayed at Mauna Kea mid-June. (1st grandchild on West Coast beckons). We're hoping we can get back in the cue for future visits. Its a wonderful family beach house, fabulous location on the Marsh, close to the beach, terrific deck views, well-equipped for cooking and simple living, ideal comfort level for young and old. Big thanks to the owners for keeping it simple.

Mauna Kea has been a favorite for our family. We like the big deck overlooking the inlet, the proximity to the beach, the big kitchen, and best of all, we can bring the dog. N.S.
